House calls and telehealth

I come to you. No waiting room full of other sick kids, no packing up a toddler, no parking. Your child is examined at your kitchen table, and I see how your family actually lives.

Where I go

I make house calls throughout Erie, Lafayette, Louisville, Broomfield, Longmont, Westminster and Thornton, and to nearby neighborhoods in between. Erie and Lafayette have no travel charge; farther out, a small charge based on distance may apply, and I quote it before we book. If you're a little outside that area, ask. I can usually make it work.

Telehealth

Video visits work well for follow-ups, lab reviews, many sick visits, and for families who live farther out. New patient visits can often be done by video as well, depending on what's going on. I'll tell you honestly which is better for your child.

Why home visits

Children are different at home. A toddler who screams in an exam room will happily show me his belly on his own couch. I get to see the pantry, the sleeping arrangement, the dog, the way mealtimes go. For the kind of medicine I practice, where the answer is usually in the everyday details, that is worth more than any exam room.

It's also simply easier for parents. One appointment, no travel, siblings can be home, and a newborn visit doesn't mean a car seat and a waiting room.

What to expect

I'll confirm the address and a window the day before.
A first visit runs about 90 minutes. Follow-ups are about 50. Have any recent labs, growth records or medication lists handy if you can.
I bring what I need for a physical exam. If labs are useful, I'll arrange them through a local lab.
Weekend visits are available for an additional charge, taken as a deposit when you book. Details on the pricing page.

Dr. Lyle is just fantastic! In home or in office visits?! She spends so much time, is so caring and knowledgeable. We needed a blood draw for my child, and she was beyond patient, helpful with explaining, and respectful of my daughters fears surrounding the procedure. We love Dr. Lyle! My daughter has been going to Dr. Lyle since she was 6 months & it was truly the best decision i could’ve made for her!
